Greaves E5+ Engine
The magnetic drain plug replaces the standard oil pan drain plug. On the Greaves E5+ twin-cylinder diesel engine, used in certain versions of the Ligier JS50 and Ligier Myli, internal moving parts such as the crankshaft, connecting rods, camshaft, and lifters are constantly exposed to friction. Even with excellent lubrication, these movements inevitably produce microscopic steel or cast iron particles (metal shavings) that remain suspended in the hot engine oil.
