Ligier JS50 (Phase 5) and Myli with Greaves E5+ Engine
The oil seal (also known as a shaft seal or radial lip seal) is an essential dynamic sealing ring designed to keep the engine oil contained while preventing contaminants from entering the engine. On the Greaves E5+ twin-cylinder diesel engine, fitted to certain versions of the Ligier JS50 (Phase 5) and Ligier Myli, these seals are located at the ends of the rotating shafts, mainly on the crankshaft (variator side and timing side) and on the camshaft.
