The rocker arm adjustment screw, together with its locking jam nut, is the mechanical component used to precisely adjust the valve clearance (valve lash) between the rocker arm and the valve stem. On the Greaves E5+ twin-cylinder diesel engine fitted to the Ligier JS50 (Phase 5) and Ligier Myli, the valve train uses a fully mechanical adjustment system.
